SCHEDULE LAUNCH IS JUNE 21st, 2026

Welcome to the largest wild mushroom happening in North America, the 46th Annual Telluride Mushroom Festival! This program of the Telluride Institute, a 501c3 non-profit, offers a plethora of events ranging from foray and mushroom ID sessions, to hands-on demonstrations and lectures—all led by regionally, nationally, and internationally-known experts, (and we cannot forget the wide variety of social and cultural events offered, along with the famous Mushroom Parade!) there is plenty for everyone, every day.

On this website, you can filter your search by events, venues, presenters, etc. Each year the Mushroom Festival features many wonderful presentations on “all things fungi.” Presentations on similar topics are grouped together at the same venue so that attendees interested will be able to spend more time learning and interacting, and less time walking between venues. See who else is interested in each event and interact with our extended Mushroom Family.

See you soon!

Live Music! Myco Beer Launch Party at the Alibi with Banshee Tree and Quattlebaum
Wednesday August 12, 2026 6:00pm - 10:00pm MDT
Want to taste the Festival Telluride Brewing Company MycoBeer and NEW THIS YEAR Fenceline Myco-CIDER  before anyone else? Join Tradd Cotter who provides the extracts through Halo Extracts and other speakers as we toast to another exciting year of the Telluride Mushroom Festival with the live music and MUSHROOM BEVERAGES! $1 for every beer or cider purchased is donated to the Telluride Mushroom Festival, thanks to TMF sponsor and partner the Alibi.

Alibi opens for Myco beers and mingling at 6:00pm
Quattlebaum (solo banjo and vocals) will start at 7pm at the Alibi stage.

Set against the electric backdrop of the Telluride Mushroom Festival—a legendary gathering of mycologists, artists, and wild-minded wanderers celebrating all things fungi—this late-night afterparty at the Alibi promises a sonic journey as expansive as the San Juans themselves. Opening the evening, Quattlebaum delivers a soulful, story-rich solo set steeped in folk tradition and mountain magic, setting the stage for Banshee Tree, whose genre-bending sound fuses jazz, indie rock, and psychedelic grooves into an ecstatic, dancefloor-ready experience. Come for the mushrooms, stay for the music, and drift deep into the night. 🍄✨

Banshee Tree starts at 8:30PM

Banshee Tree’s roots run deep. An indie psychedelic pop/rock band with sharply-written songs, jazz inspired solos, saxophone textures and grooves that nod to the dance floor, they’ve spent nearly a decade evolving their sound. That fusion reaches a new peak with Bad Luck, a restless and unapologetically diverse album that captures a critically-acclaimed band chasing down new horizons. Combining their strength as a live act with an experimental approach in the recording studio, Bad Luck makes room for the full range of Banshee Tree’s influences, from the layered soundscapes of the instrumental track “Stellar Jay Theme” to the anthemic, festival friendly folk pop of “Bright Blue Light.” It’s a wide mix, glued together by a band of Colorado based songwriters who’ve always embraced the grey areas between genres. They’ve played everywhere- jam festivals, EDM bills and bluegrass shows with genre benders like Leftover Salmon and The Infamous Stringdusters- and Bad Luck celebrates that history while pushing toward a new future.

This Event is FREE for attendees and $10 for non-pass holders at the door.
